1. Information we collect

You give us directly. Name, email, phone number (optional), country, profile photo (optional), password (stored hashed), language preferences, learning goals, and any content you write in chat or lessons.

Automatically as you use the Service. Device type, operating system, app version, log data (timestamps, IP address, error reports), push-notification tokens, and coarse usage patterns (which features you open, session duration).

From payment providers. When you pay through WayForPay, we receive confirmation of the transaction (amount, currency, order reference) but not your full card number. Card details are handled by WayForPay directly.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Run and improve the Service.
• Authenticate you.
• Deliver purchased lessons and content.
• Send transactional emails (bookings, payments, reminders) and, if you opt in, marketing emails.
• Send push notifications about lessons and account activity.
• Prevent fraud and abuse.
• Meet legal obligations.

3. AI Learn

If you use AI Learn, the prompts and responses generated during your session are sent to our large-language-model providers to produce your lesson. Providers process this content under their own security programmes and are contractually forbidden from using it to train their models. Transcripts are stored on our servers so you can review past lessons.

4. Sharing

We share information only when needed to operate the Service:

• Tutors see your name, avatar, and any messages you send them.
• Other group-lesson members see your name, avatar, and your messages in the group chat.
• Payment processor (WayForPay) to process transactions.
• Cloud storage (AWS S3, Cloudinary) to host uploaded media.
• Push delivery (Expo → Apple APNs / Google FCM) to send notifications.
• Email delivery (transactional SMTP provider) to send account emails.
• Analytics and crash reporting to keep the app stable, if enabled.
• Legal authorities where we are required to by law.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Storage and security

Data is stored on servers hosted by our infrastructure providers. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest where the underlying platform supports it. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever learn of a breach that affects you, we will notify you as required by law.

6. Retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove personal identifiers within 30 days, except where we are required to retain records for tax, accounting, or legal-defence purposes (typically up to 7 years for financial records). Chat and lesson content may be retained in anonymised form for product analytics.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccuracies.
• Request deletion.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Data portability.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

8. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with information, contact help@slocx.com so we can remove it.

9. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our providers operate. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards to protect transferred data.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted in the app. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
