1. Acceptance

By tapping "I agree" during registration or by continuing to use the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Service with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

3. Your account

You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials confidential, and for all activity under your account. Notify us at help@slocx.com as soon as you suspect unauthorised use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. The Service

Slocx lets you (a) book lessons with human tutors, (b) purchase and attend group lessons, (c) use AI-assisted lessons ("AI Learn"), (d) access learning materials, and (e) communicate with tutors and other students through chat and group chat. Availability, pricing, and features may change without notice.

5. Payments and purchases

Payments for lessons, group lessons, courses, learning paths, and books are processed by our payment partner (currently WayForPay). Prices are shown before you confirm each purchase. All amounts are quoted in the currency displayed at checkout. Once a payment is completed the corresponding access is delivered immediately to your account.

6. Refunds and cancellations

By default, purchases are final. If you believe a charge is incorrect or a service was not delivered as described, contact us at help@slocx.com within 14 days and we will investigate in good faith. Refunds are made at our discretion and returned to the original payment method.

7. Group lessons

Group-lesson tiers grant access for a stated number of sessions and duration. Missed live sessions are not automatically refunded. Chat rooms remain open for the duration of your enrollment and are archived when it ends.

8. AI Learn

AI Learn generates lessons and coach responses using large-language-model providers. Content is provided for educational purposes only, may occasionally be inaccurate, and should not be treated as professional advice. You may not use AI Learn to generate harmful, illegal, or infringing content.

9. User conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to harass, defraud, or harm others.
• Upload content you do not have the right to share.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape at scale, or interfere with the Service.
• Impersonate anyone.
• Use the Service in violation of any applicable law.

10. User content

You retain ownership of content you submit (messages, uploads, profile details). You grant Slocx a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and transmit that content solely to operate and improve the Service. We may remove content that violates these Terms.

11. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, brand, and generated coach personas, is owned by Slocx and its licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers those rights to you.

12. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third-party providers (payment processing, cloud storage, push notifications, analytics). Their handling of your data is governed by their own policies; see our Privacy Policy for details.

13. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that harms other users or the platform. On termination, your access to purchased content may end and some data may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.

14. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Slocx will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted in the app and take effect on the date shown at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

17. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms, the Service, or any transaction contemplated by them will be resolved in the competent courts of Kyiv, Ukraine, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of those courts.

Two exceptions apply:

• Consumers abroad. If you use the Service as a consumer and reside in a jurisdiction whose local consumer-protection laws grant you rights that cannot be waived by contract, those rights are preserved. You may bring claims in the courts of your place of residence, and mandatory local consumer-protection provisions apply to the extent required.
• Interim relief. Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property, confidential information, or account credentials, without first proceeding in the courts of Kyiv.
